Looking for ways to add a touch of flair to your reading time? Look no further! Creating a page corner bookmark is as simple and fun. With just a piece of paper and a few folds, you can create a bookmark to keep your place in the books you read.
Step 1: Gather Your Supplies
First things first, gather your materials. You’ll need a square piece of paper – any size will do, but the standard 6x6 inches works just fine. Feel free to get creative with your choice of paper; seek out polka dots, stripes, glittered sheets, or even recycled pages from old magazines.
Step 2: Fold Diagonally
Place your square paper on a flat surface with one corner pointing upwards. Now, fold the paper diagonally to form a triangle. Make sure your edges are aligned closely to achieve a neat and clean fold. Press down firmly on the crease to secure it. It may help to slide your index finger from one end to the other while pressing firmly.
Step 3: Open and Fold Again
Unfold your paper to reveal the triangle you just made. Fold it again in the opposite direction. This time, you should fold it along the other diagonal. Your paper should now have two intersecting folds in an “x” shape.
Step 4: Fold the Corners
With your paper still in the triangle shape, take one of the bottom corners and fold it up towards the top point of the triangle. Make this fold again with the other bottom corner, so they meet at the top. You should now have a diamond shape with two flaps at the top.
Step 5: Tuck and Fold
Take one of the flaps and tuck it underneath the triangle, creating a small pocket. Press down firmly to secure it in place. Repeat this with the other flap, tucking it securely underneath. You should now have a pocket at the bottom of your triangle.
Step 6: Reinforce Your Folds
To ensure your bookmark stays in shape, go over all your folds one more time, pressing down firmly with your fingers or with a crafting folder (bone folder).

Step 7: Decorate (Optional)
Get creative! Decorate your bookmark however you like. Add stickers, and drawings, or even write your favorite quotes on it. Personalize it to make it your own. Or make several in different patterns to sell!
Step 8: Use Your Bookmark
To use your bookmark, simply slip the pocket of your bookmark over the corner of the page you want to mark. The pocket should fit nicely over the corner, keeping your place secure without damaging your book.
Step 9: Admire Your Handiwork
Yay! You did it! Take time to enjoy your new bookmark. Show them off to friends and family members who may want you to make some for them to use too! :)
Happy Crafting!
