Okay maybe not so much "Make and Sell" but certainly "Grow and Sell". From microgreens to veggies and houseplants, gardening can be turned into money!
I spent the last of my cash at a sale where children made their own seed packets. First of all, they drew adorable pictures on the packets and harvested the seeds themselves. I mean - how could you not buy all of the seeds? Another group of children made what I think they called "planter bombs" where they wrapped seeds up in a light fabric to be planted in the ground with all the nutrients needed for success.
At the Fenton market of 2023, a group of ten children all squished into one 10X10 tent and made bank selling sticks decorated with copper wire and beads which help promote healthy gardens.
One young business owner in Roscommon (as pictured) sold live plants but his main focus was on microgreens. Did you know, you can make quite a small fortune selling microgreens to restaurants as well? I was so happy to purchase his microgreens to eat as a snack because there is never enough food at these events... side note... food, we need more food vendors!
The possibilities for outdoor garenting is limitless! I have also purchased herbs such as mint and oregano at various markets. Young business owners in Mt. Pleasant sold flowers (as pictured).
