Includes fun step-by-step instructional lesson, printables and quizzes. We will be completing the following science experiments: 1) 3-in-1 Magic Water 2) Build and melt a snowman with shaving cream and baking soda! 3) Unbreakable Bag 4) Grow a Rainbow
Little scientists have the option of getting the weekly supplies and participating in the science activity or may choose to simply observe. Print out the provided “official science journal“ each week and get ready to explore. I will provide step-by-step instructional videos for our activities in order for students to participate along at home. I often include my own children in videos to create more of an age appropriate “classroom like” environment. I want your learner to feel like they are part of a class and will be available for any questions or communications. New videos will be available each Monday. Each week students will get a “Scientist Journal” AKA a printable one-page questionnaire, supplies and information worksheet. Students can fill out the questionnaire with their hypothesis and observations and share it in the classroom.
Science activities include:
WEEK ONE - 3-in-1 Magic Water - Learn about air and water pressure in a hands-on way! What happens when we lift our cups upside down over the water? Will our tissue stay dry or get wet when we dunk our cups under the water? Watch in amazement as our paper sticks magically to our upside down water glass!
WEEK TWO - Build and Melt a Snowman - Learn about the states of matter as we make cute little snowmen then melt them with a fun fizzing action!
WEEK THREE - Grow a Rainbow - Learn about chromatography and capillary action as we watch in amazement while our rainbows grow!
WEEK FOUR - Unbreakable Bag - How many pencils can we poke through our water filled plastic bags? What else can we poke through? What happens when we puncture our bags?
