This 6-week book study is best for 5-8th grade students.
Each session contains:
Session 1:
-Intro class using a self-paced interactive Nearpod lesson and video session.
-Historical Fiction genre study
-Read chapters 1-4
-Guided discussion questions with video segments to encourage and clarify.
-Multiple vocabulary activities.
-Learners will submit their work before moving on to Session 2.
Session 2:
-Read chapters 5-6 & 7-8.
-Guided discussion questions with video segments to encourage and clarify.
-Multiple vocabulary activities.
-Learners will submit their work before moving on to Session 3.
Session 3:
-Read chapters 9-10 & 11-12.
-Guided discussion questions with video segments to encourage and clarify.
-Multiple vocabulary activities.
-Learners will submit their work before moving on to Session 4.
Session 4:
-Read chapters 13-14 & 15-16.
-Guided discussion questions with video segments to encourage and clarify.
-Multiple vocabulary activities.
-Learners will submit their work before moving on to Session 5.
Session 5:
-Read chapters 17-18 & 19.
-Guided discussion questions with video segments to encourage and clarify.
-Multiple vocabulary activities.
-Learners will submit their work before moving on to Session 6.
Session 6:
-Creative & thoughtful assignments to wrap up our book.
-Learners will submit their work before receiving their certificate of completion.
