PARTICIPATION AND SELLING

PARENTS CODE OF CONDUCT

Stay behind the scenes. The back of the booth is a great place for you. No matter how much you want to… avoid answering customer questions for your child. Act like you’re not listening and figuratively remove yourself from the experience. You can help your child after each interaction with helpful feedback.
Do not take payment or help make change. Teach your child beforehand how to use payment apps. Give them a calculator, paper, pencil, etc to help them ring out customers and make change independently.
Adults are required to remain on the premises throughout the duration of the market. You cannot drop off / pick up your child.
No smoking, vaping, or drinking at the market.
Be helpful during set up / tear down. Be flexible for where your booth is located. No one gets to choose their spot.
If adults do not follow these rules, their child may not be permitted to participate in future events.

PRODUCTS

Children can sell practically anything! It can be handmade, store-bought, food, resale items, yard sale, carnival style games or services.
1. No raw food.
2. No animals are allowed due to our insurance liability regulations.
3. Wear gloves if selling food.
Children absolutely may not sell goods on behalf of their parents.
Children must have an active role in the acquisition and/or production of their product.
The market does not regulate what is sold.

REGISTRATION

All children must pre-register online. You can find new markets as they launch on our Facebook page @youngbusinessownersofmighian
$20 per market. (First market includes: Online business classes and a digital download for creating a business plan).
We cannot accommodate waiting lists.
No refunds will be given for any reason. No exceptions.
Registrations are non-transferrable to other markets but you can give it to a friend by emailing us support@teachmetruth.com

CHECK-IN

Check the map for where to safely unload your vehicle. Be sure to move your vehicle to the designated parking area after unloading.
If you arrive early, you may form a line at the check-in table but CANNOT enter the market area. DO NOT begin setting up your tent without checking in first.
If you’d like to be next to someone, simply check in together.
Booth placement is assigned during check in. No one can choose or move their space.

BOOTHS

All booths are a 10′ X 10′ space and all belongings must fit within that space.
You are responsible for supplying any tables, chairs, tents, garbage bags, water, sunscreen, etc as needed.
Multiple children can sell out of one booth under one registration.
You can only sell out of one side of the booth.
Children may sell different products in the same booth.
A 10’ X 10’ tent / canopy is recommended but not required. Umbrellas could work too!
If children sell any food items, they must bring a trash can for their customers.
Power is not provided, nor is there access. However, you may bring a generator and will be placed on the outside perimeter to minimize noise.
No dogs allowed.

CLEAN UP

You are responsible to haul out all your own trash (there usually aren’t dumpsters on site). Leave your booth space clean!

WEATHER

RAIN OR SHINE. Vendors are responsible for checking the weather and using their best judgment for attending events.
Notification of cancellation will only be given if there’s an 80% chance of severe weather within 24 hours of the event. If canceled, there are no refunds, the market will not be rescheduled, and the registration fee cannot be applied to another market.
