This class is geared towards Preschool through 1st grade. It was made at the request of my 4-yr-old kitty-loving girl who said she wants a class all about cats!
During this 4-week course, children will:
😺Meet the Whiskered Wonders - Discover fascinating facts about cats’ appearance, including their soft fur, padded paws, and those adorable whiskers.
😸Learn About Cat Behavior and Habits - Explore their daily routines—did you know cats spend up to 70% of their lives snoozing? 🌙 Witness their meticulous grooming sessions and find out why they’re the epitome of cleanliness.
🙀Read Cat Tales and Legends - Uncover ancient stories about cats from different cultures. Did you know they were revered in ancient Egypt? Share your own cat stories—whether it’s Pumpkin’s mischievous escapades or heartwarming moments with your family pet.
😽Make Crafty Cat Creations - Get creative! We’ll make cat-themed crafts and express our love for cats through art and imagination.
😺🥳 We will end our 4 weeks by having a cat-tastic cat party!!! Lessons will consist of a variety of things such as videos, games, interactive learning activities, arts and crafts, read-alouds, and worksheets.
If your child completes the activities within the 4 weeks they will receive teacher feedback weekly through Outschool messages as well as a completion certificate at the end! Join us for a whisker-twitching, tail-wagging adventure in “Purrfect Cats”! 🐾 Meow-some memories await! 😺

I am a certified elementary teacher and work from home mom of 1. We are beginning to think about our homeschool journey so check us out for lessons geared towards younger learners. I have taught and worked with kids ages 6wks all the way up to 8th grade and believe that kids need fun and concrete lessons that allow them to discover things on their own!
Fun Facts: I live in Northern MI. My husband works from home as well building log cabin shells. We have a small barn for chickens, a turkey, and 2 bunnies. We also have 3 dogs, 2 snails, and a cat.
