Did you know that Eric Carle wrote several different Very Hungry Caterpillar books?! In these captivating read-alouds, we follow the lovable caterpillar as it embarks on many different adventures. Each week, we will see our little caterpillar feasts on different treats, from juicy fruits to savory snacks, prepare for its remarkable metamorphosis, as well as meet some friends along the way. Eric Carle’s vibrant illustrations and engaging storytelling make these books a perfect addition to kids’ story time.

Educational Themes:

Life Cycle: Children learn about the fascinating transformation from caterpillar to butterfly.

Counting: The books introduce counting as the caterpillar devours its meals.

Days of the Week: Each day is associated with a new food item, reinforcing the days of the week.

During this 4 week course students will listen to read alouds done by myself with my daughter as a special guest star. They will also be provided with matching print outs and activities to practice counting, handwriting, coloring, the life cycle of a butterfly, cutting, gluing, and much  more!
